Crossing the street in the UAE is a nightmare as drivers simply ignore pedestrians, even at zebra crossings. This behavior has made crossing the street quite dangerous, with 20% of all road accidents in the UAE involving pedestrians.
Volkswagen wanted to make the roads safer for everyone by creating a human connection between drivers and pedestrians, reminding drivers that pedestrians are people too, each with their own name and story.
